What's the latest? I'm new to the forum. I just convinced my local club to pick up a handful of daggers and cords and there are already rumblings that they'd love to see this be a USFA sponsored/endorsed/supported event.
If possible I'd love to hear what kind of numbers you've been seeing for sales and some kind of estimate of the number of fencers/clubs out there with daggers. I think the biggest thing right now is to work to get exposure. Nobody at my club had ever heard of you guys until I brought it up. You should be visiting the big tourneys nationwide hawking your wares and offering demonstrations. If you want to be recognized as a big player you need to put in big player effort. It's a numbers game and you're swimming upstream right now and will until you reach a critical mass where USFA has to actually start paying attention. I think DFA is making progress and I'm trying to help (I've established dagger populations at two clubs in two different states already) but it'll take time and effort from everyone involved in order to make this small community grow.
Thoughts?
